Sarah sings to save horses
Sarah Arthur, HAPPA (Horses and Ponies Protection Association) Chief Executive Officer, will be singing in The Great Chamber Sing-Off 2026, hosted by East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, to raise vital funds for HAPPA’s Horse Abandonment Crisis Fund.
On 30th January, at Burnley Mechanics Theatre, Sarah will be bravely stepping up to the mic along with twelve other Burnley business leaders, to sing from the heart for the charity she has dedicated the last twenty-two years to.

Sarah explains, “By signing up to the Sing-Off to raise funds for HAPPA I hope to inspire and motivate others to follow suit, signing up to an existing event or run their own unique fundraising activity for a charity. I am in no way a trained singer, I hope to make up for this by putting on a great performance. The Sing-Off is the perfect way to do something different, fun and exciting for a cause close to my heart.”
Sarah continues “HAPPA is reaching crisis point as demand for services and associated costs soar. The Charity is urging those that care to contribute or fundraise for the Horse Abandonment Crisis Fund so that the fantastic team can continue to respond to reports of horses, ponies and donkeys in distress.

Finally, I would like to thank East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce for coming up with such a fun and vibrant fundraising event, local charities are struggling right now, and events like the Sing-Off are a much-needed boost.”
Tickets are on sale now through the Burnley Mechanics Theatre ticket office.
All funds raised by Sarah will be put towards the Charity’s current campaign if you would like to donate; https://www.justgiving.com/page/the-singing-ceo
