Mother-and-daughter cat-sitting team in Preston mark five months of rapid growth ahead of Cat Show Live
A mother-and-daughter cat-sitting team in Preston and South Ribble have grown their business to nearly 70 cats in under five months, and joined the wider My Three Cats team at the Cat Show in Birmingham to mark the franchise's first anniversary.
Andrea Hardman launched My Three Cats Preston & South Ribble in April 2026 alongside her daughter Amber, making her one of five franchise partners who have joined My Three Cats in the year since it launched its franchise at the Cat Show Live in September 2025.
The pair have been kept busy all summer as demand has grown steadily across the territory. Andrea's own cats, Ariel and Rosie, were what first drew her to the world of specialist cat care, and Amber has recently welcomed two kittens of her own, Belinda and Bruno, into the family. Alongside the franchise, Amber also works on My Three Cats' wider social media.
Preston and South Ribble's feline population has fed strong local demand for specialist, in-home cat care as an alternative to traditional catteries.
“We started this in April not really knowing how quickly it would take off, and five months later we've got 40 clients and nearly 70 cats on our books,” said Andrea. “It's been a brilliant, busy summer, and we can't wait to celebrate with the rest of the team in Birmingham this weekend.”
“Andrea and Amber have built something really special together in Preston in a very short space of time,” said Wendy Thomson Melling, founder of My Three Cats. “Seeing them join us on the stand this weekend, as a mother-and-daughter team, feels like exactly the kind of story this anniversary is about.”
My Three Cats is currently welcoming applications from cat-loving individuals interested in a second wave of franchise opportunities across the UK.
