Michelle P - Founder of the awards said: “The Rising Star Award recognises emerging talent within the industry, celebrating individuals who demonstrate exceptional dedication, professional development and a commitment to building a successful career.

Being shortlisted is an achievement in itself. Entrants have progressed through a structured assessment process, with their work, evidence and professional development independently reviewed.”

Harriet, who lives in Caton, retrained in permanent make-up and launched her business, The Brow Narrative, in January. Despite having a creative background, both the skill of tattooing and the beauty industry were completely new to her. Harriet said,

“This was a huge change for me and I've worked hard to train and achieve the skills and qualifications needed to deliver the highest quality service to my clients. I'm so delighted to be shortlisted for this national award and it's just proof that hard work can pay off. I'm 48 and it just goes to show that it's never too late to change direction if you believe in yourself”.

The Brow Narrative offers an innovative eyebrow tattooing method called Hairstrokes, mimicking real hair and renowned for its natural results. Harriet also offers Lip Blush services and works between two locations, Haer & Hyd Salon in Hornby Village and REVYSE Clinic in Fulwood, Preston.

The winner of the award will be announced at a red carpet event at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel on December 5. You can follow Harriet’s progress, or ‘the narrative’ on Instagram and Facebook @thebrownarrative.
