A Preston city centre venue has announced it is hosting the city’s very first ‘coffee rave’ this summer.

Chew’s Yard on Market Street West is inviting the community to kick off their Sunday in an energising and unconventional way with the launch of Run, Roast, Rave on Sunday, June 7.

The morning begins at 9am with runners choosing between a 5K or 5-mile run hosted by local running group Riversway Roadrunners.

From 10am to 12pm, Chew’s Yard will then host its first ever ‘coffee rave,’ bringing together music, coffee and community in a daytime setting.

DJ El Grego of Demented Disco will take over the decks in the venue’s event space, providing an upbeat soundtrack for runners and non-runners alike.

Runners can refuel with traders selling fresh doughnuts, pastries and other treats, while specialty coffee will be provided by Oddy Knocky. A range of drinks will be available to purchase throughout the event, including filter coffee, cold brew, iced lattes, flat whites (with dairy or oat milk), tea and juice.

The event is designed to be flexible and accessible, with free tickets available for both “Run & Rave” and “Rave Only” options.

The venue says that Run, Roast, Rave reflects Chew’s Yard’s ongoing commitment to creating unique, community-focused experiences as part of its evolving programme of events.

Tickers are available to purchase from Skiddle now.
