This band are a smokin' hot combo

The Chainsmokers, who are Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, proved themselves to be the breakout story of 2016 with over five billion global streams and three multiplatinum singles.

And this week they made music history when they joined the Beatles and Bee Gees to become only the third band to have three songs on the Billboard Hot 100. Something Just Like This, featuring Coldplay is at number five, Paris at number seven and Closer at 10.

So to watch them live was a real privilege and it was an unforgettable night.

The set opened with Digital Farm Animals who were absolutely brilliant and the audience were jumping from the minute they came on.

The atmosphere was charged, especially when they threw t-shirts into the audience while performing. In the mad scramble I failed to grab one but their great set more than made up for the disappointment.

They performed for an hour and were one of the best support acts I have seen and I would definitely go and see them in their own right.

The Chainsmokers were amazing, electrifying, fantastic. Their music is loud, pumping and energetic and I was so close to the stage I could almost touch them.

The crowd was bouncing throughout the entire performance and when they shot confetti out of huge cannons they just went wild.

They are fast becoming a dominating musical force with a diverse repertoire of songs that has secured their place as one of today's hottest young artist.producer duos.

Their signature sound reaches across indie, progressive and pop realms and their original tracks and remixes have topped the charts throughout the world. Their evolution as producers and as songwriters has seen them dial up some of the biggest breakthrough songs of today.

2017 has already started well for the three-time multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated artist/producer duo and it can only get better for them.
