Blackpool's latest artwork kicked off an outpouring of appreciation on social media after Crouch and Stark revealed the 'confusion' with the advertising board in their latest show 'Centre-Forwards' on March 24.

Stark announced he had secured a deal for one giant display, for an undisclosed fee but said during talks there had been a breakdown in communication with the unnamed bill board company over the desired location.

He has said despite the mix-up the bill board is in a much more prominent position - in Blackpool, widely regarded as the 'Vegas of the North.'

He added: "It's definitely more us."

Football legend Peter Crouch has designed his first billboard which has appeared in Blackpool

The new poster appears opposite Blackpool Pleasure Beach in South Shore, which will this year mark a milestone 125th season.

Featuring a series of childlike stick-figure depictions of Crouch and his co-hosts, including Tom Fordyce - along with numerous podcast references, former England international Crouch, 40 admitted he was 'quite proud and really pleased' with the final product.

Tom Fordyce said the display would do a great job in hammering home the key messages of the Stark and Crouch-led marketing ploy.
