Comedian Steve Royle makes it through to semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent

Lancashire-based comedian, actor, and juggler extraordinaire Steve Royle has made it through the semi-finals of Britain's Got Talent.

The local Pantomime favourite, who was supposed to star in the Blackpool Grand Theatre's 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' this year, had Simon Cowell and the rest of the BGT judges rolling with laughter in his first audition in April.

He has now made it through to the semi-finals following a special episode of the show on Sunday night, which saw the judges whittle down 200 hopeful acts to just 40.

Following the good news, he posted on Facebook: "Thank you for all the lovely messages regarding BGT; apologies if I don’t reply to you all, true to say my phone has gone quite crazy! Rest assured I appreciate your support and of course, any future votes! See you on the box (or rather, from the box) next Saturday night."
