Two-time manager of the month Jamie Milligan eyes another win from Bamber Bridge against Gainsborough

Bamber Bridge boss Jamie Milligan has been crowned the NPL Premier Division Manager of the Month – the second successive month that he has won the award.

The Brig manager won December’s award and has followed that up with January’s gong after three league victories – and three clean sheets - propelled the club to the cusp of the play-off places.

They came from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at home to play-off rivals Stockton Town on Saturday at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium.

“I thought it was a good draw in the end,” Milligan told the club’s in-house media.

"I’d say there were too good teams.Overall, a draw was probably a fair result.”

Brig are currently one place and one point outside the top five with the visit of Gainsborough Trinity to come this evening.

"We need to win tonight – the lads know that,” he added.
