M6 traffic updates as crash causes delays on approach to Leyland at junction 28

Motorists faced delays on the M6 northbound this morning following a crash on the motorway near Leyland.

Lancashire Police said the crash involved two vehicles and no one was injured. The vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder and all lanes have since reopened.

National Highways warned of delays of around 15 minutes on approach to junction 28 (Leyland) and an average speed of 10mph while while emergency services worked at the scene.

The rush hour disruption affected drivers travelling towards Leyland and Preston, with motorists advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
