The Clarets are top of the league and unbeaten at home this season as Vincent Kompany has his side charging towards a return to the Premier League.
PNE do have previous at Turf Moor, having won 2-0 there back in 2015. That win was over Sean Dyche’s Burnley who went on to win the title and were on a nine-game unbeaten run.
Saturday’s game sees Ryan Lowe’s men come up against a Kompany side that are champions elect and have won each of their last nine games since losing to Sheffield United. If they were to win at the weekend they would seal a Championship record, but football has a funny way of working at times.
Here’s how we think Lowe will line his side up on Saturday.

9. CM: Daniel Johnson
North End will need big players to step up against the league leaders and Ryan Lowe could turn to his vice captain who already has experience of winning at Turf Moor. Photo: CameraSport - Mick Walker

10. LWB: Alvaro Fernandez
Robbie Brady had a tough game last time out so it might be time to give Alvaro Fernandez the chance. He started against Blackpool so he's no stranger to a big game. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

11. ST: Tom Cannon
He had a couple of chances against Bristol City and has so far looked more of a goal threat than Liam Delap, and goals are North End's biggest issue. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

12. ST: Liam Delap
With Ched Evans now banned for the weekend, it looks likely that Delap could start given that he's more match fit than Troy Parrott. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
