The Clarets are top of the league and unbeaten at home this season as Vincent Kompany has his side charging towards a return to the Premier League.
PNE do have previous at Turf Moor, having won 2-0 there back in 2015. That win was over Sean Dyche’s Burnley who went on to win the title and were on a nine-game unbeaten run.
Saturday’s game sees Ryan Lowe’s men come up against a Kompany side that are champions elect and have won each of their last nine games since losing to Sheffield United. If they were to win at the weekend they would seal a Championship record, but football has a funny way of working at times.
Here’s how we think Lowe will line his side up on Saturday.

5. CB: Andrew Hughes
A reliable performer on the left side of the defence, and his previous position as a full back might come in handy against tricky Burnley forwards. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

6. RWB: Alan Browne
The PNE captain seems to have made the right wing back slot his own, his performances have been good too so there is no reason to drop him or move him. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley

7. CM: Ben Whiteman
Ryan Lowe has said he expects Ben Whiteman to be fit again this weekend and when fit, he has never not started under his current boss. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth

8. CM: Ali McCann
North End seem to play better when Ali McCann is in the middle of midfield and his industry could be important against a possession heavy Burnley side. Photo: CameraSport - Rich Linley
