PNE now have four pre-season friendlies confirmed

Preston North End have confirmed two more pre-season friendlies, including a home match against Everton.

The Toffees will head to Deepdale, while Ryan Lowe’s side also travel to Salford City. Those two games take PNE’s list of friendlies to four, with the trip to Bamber Bridge and clash with Lincoln City - in Spain - already announced.

North End will host Sean Dyche’s team on Saturday, 3 August for a 3pm kick-off. That is after the visit to Salford, where Preston will kick-off at 7:30pm on Tuesday, 30 July. Everton finished 15th in the Premier League last season, while the Ammies were 20th in League Two.

Karl Robinson is the man in charge at the Peninsula Stadium, having been appointed in early January. PNE played Salford in the EFL Cup last season and lost on penalties, while the last game against Everton was in the pre-season of 2020/21.

The Toffees clash - set to be the last for PNE before the Championship season starts - will see Jordan Pickford return to Deepdale. It’ll be the England shot-stopper’s first game back at North End, with whom he had a successful loan spell in 2015/16.
