Alan Browne was available to play after being in self-isolation since being deemed a close contact of a Republic of Ireland colleague who had returned a positive Covid-19 test.

North End got medical clearance for Browne to be involved, with him wearing the skipper's armband for the game.

There was a return to the squad on the bench for Daniel Johnson, the midfielder yet to feature in Championship this season.
