George Hodgson takes a look at the dozen players signed by Preston North End this summer, after the close of the transfer window...

9. Signing No.9: Andrija Vukcevic
It all happened very quickly with the Montenegrin. A one week trial in Spain and three-year deal subsequently signed, so full credit to Vukcevic - who must've seriously impressed the boss. The manager hailed his athleticism after one of the recent home matches. We haven't seen an awful lot of him to date but the left-back looks a fairly Steady Eddie - a competent enough defender and decent crosser at the other end. He'll be called upon throughout the campaign for sure. | CameraSport - Alex Dodd

10. Signing No.10: Alfie Devine
Lots of early buzz around the tenacious, talented midfielder. The Tottenham Hotspur man has made a bright start to his loan spell at Preston. He's already had supporters singing his name and has shown signs of being another big loan hit. It was a blow to lose him to injury for the last match at Portsmouth, so he will hopefully be welcomed back after the break. | Ian Robinson, PNEFC

11. Signing No.11: Lewis Dobbin
Wasted absolutely no time in making his mark, with that wonderfully taken goal against Wrexham. You cannot put a price on adding quality to your squad and Dobbin seems as though he'll add real sharpness in Preston's attack. He's quick, tricky and the kind of player fans should love watching. | Ian Robinson, PNEFC

12. Signing No.12: Harrison Armstrong
Everton waited right until the end to decide on sending Armstrong out, which speaks volumes about how highly he is regarded. It looks a good fit and hopefully, the loan can pay off for all parties. Heckingbottom hailed him as a 'special talent' and he doesn't seem the type to throw that term out there loosely. | Getty Images
