George Hodgson takes a look at the dozen players signed by Preston North End this summer, after the close of the transfer window...

5. Signing No.5: Daniel Jebbison
It's a big year for Jebbison, after a mixed 2024/25 campaign. If there's any environment for him to thrive in the Championship then it should be Preston, given his relationship with Paul Heckingbottom and bond with some of the players. He'll be looking to show his best self after the international break, with an ankle issue affecting the start of his season. | Camera Sport

6. Signing No.6: Odel Offiah
The one big outlay from North End this summer, following an impressive loan spell in League One down the road. Offiah is having to bide his time at the start of the season but if the hype is justified, he will no doubt force his way into the side. | Preston North End FC

7. Signing No.7: Jack Walton
Heckingbottom evidently felt the goalkeeping department needed a double boost and he went for someone trusted in Walton. He is big on bringing in the right characters and the former Barnsley man will tick that box. His debut at Barrow was positive; second run out not quite so. | Ian Robinson, PNEFC

8. Signing No.8: Michael Smith
An opportunistic swoop following his departure from Sheffield Wednesday. Smith has been effective in North End's attack so far and will offer something different, with the traits he possesses. He is a throwback but Preston have been crying out for a focal point. Now he'll be looking to start chipping in with goals of his own, which he showed last season he is still capable of. | Ian Robinson, PNEFC
