Preston North End striker Ched Evans nominated for Championship goal of the month award
Preston North End striker Ched Evans is in the running for the Championship goal of the month award for March.
The Welshman's volley against Millwall at The Den is on the shortlist for the award.
His competition comes in the form of goals from Bournemouth midfielder Philip Billing and Rotherham striker Freddie Ladapo.
Evans' goal fired North End into the lead at Millwall on March 2 but unfortunately they couldn't hang on to that advantage and they lost the game 2-1.
Shortlisting Evans' goal, EFL sponsors Sky Bet wrote: "Evans defied the laws of geometry as he sprinted across the pitch to a dropping ball, yet somehow caught it so exquisitely on the volley that it flew at a right angle into the bottom corner."
Voting takes place on the official EFL twitter pages, with the poll opening at 10am on Friday and running until Monday, April 19.
The winner will be announced next Friday (April 23).
