The loan moves will give the pair some much-needed first-team action to help their development.

O'Reilly makes the short move to the Sir Tom Finney Stadium on loan until January, while Hudson has gone on a shorter deal until November 28.

Both have made one appearance in the North End side.

Republic of Ireland youth international O'Reilly came as a substitute against Aston Villa at Deepdale in December 2018.

Hudson's appearance came way back in December 2015 when he was only 17.

That was against Leeds United at Elland Road, with him summoned from the bench in the first half after Jordan Pickford had been sent-off.

North End have a number of players out on loan at the moment.

Ethan Walker is on a season's loan at Carlisle although he's back at PNE at the moment after having surgery on his shoulder - he's expected to be out of action for three months.

Jack Baxter and Joe Rodwell-Grant are at Chorley, with Jacob Holland-Wilkinson at Lancaster City.

In the summer Josh Ginnelly joined Hearts on a season-long loan and the Scottish club have already indicated a willingness to try and sign him permanently next summer when his contract at PNE runs out.
