With the January transfer window a little over six weeks away, those players entering their final six months with Preston North End come into focus.
Here, we take a look at the out-of-contract list at Deepdale, as things stand.
5. LCB: Andrew Hughes
Has a one-year option inserted in his deal too. Started the season impressively but has missed the last six weeks through injury, so will be looking to get himself back fit and put a run of games together. No doubt that when he is available, he's a crucial player for Preston. | CameraSport - Andrew Kearns
6. Ben Woodburn
Had an extra year triggered in the summer but hasn't really been able to get a look in so far this season. Limited to brief cameos off the bench. Will need to take his chance when and if it comes along. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth
7. Lewis Leigh
Out on loan with Bromley, who are going well in the National League. With him turning 20 in December, PNE will need to see progress when he returns from his loan spell. A big year or two ahead for Leigh, who had some injury setbacks last season. | CameraSport - Dave Howarth
8. Noah Mawene
Mawene has been on the bench quite a few times for the first team and made a handful of appearances too. He is highly thought of and his hard work off the pitch hasn't gone unnoticed. Seems to be one PNE have belief in, so he just needs to keep putting the hard graft in. Photo: CameraSport - Alex Dodd
