North End have already moved on two players, with Josh Earl and Tom Bayliss both agreeing to mutually terminate their contracts in order to pursue moves elsewhere, going to Fleetwood Town and Shrewsbury Town respectively.

The pair were transfer listed alongside Josh Harrop and Matthew Olosunde who are still with the club – the latter currently being on PNE’s pre-season training camp in Spain.

On potential outgoings, Lowe said: I'm not sure. Josh Harrop has been left at home, he's doing a fitness regime to try and get a contract somewhere else, he's been made available.

"Matthew Olosunde is still in that same bracket (transfer listed) but I must say with Mo, his attitude and application in training has been first class.

"He's worked hard. Unless there is something that suits him and suits us, he'll stay where he is.

"Just because he's been made available doesn't mean he's getting kicked out of the door - no way.

"And then there are one or two of the youngsters that might move out on loan eventually.

"If that's the case that's more for progressing, trying to come back and get into our team. But ultimately our focus is getting a few more through the door."

Lowe has been open about Olosunde's situation since his transfer listing but is open to keeping the American around.

He still has a year left on his contract at Deepdale and has attracted a bit of interest earlier in the summer.

Should Olosunde stay on at North End this summer, it's unlikely there would be another wing back signed on that side, instead it would be between him and Brad Potts for the starting right wing back role.

"I'm not making any secret about it. We've praised Matt, we've brought him in, spoken to him, showed him some things on the training pitch and we're coaching him into what we want.

"He's played in a couple of different positions, right wing back, right side centre back and he could also be a midfielder as well.

"He fills a couple of bases. At the end of the day if something that comes along and suits Matt, and suits us, we'll have a discussion about it, other than that he'll stay around until told otherwise."
