Here are the PNE player ratings from the game, with Ben Davies taking the starman award.
9. Daniel Johnson 7
More was seen from DJ in an attacking sense in the second half. Took the corner which led to the opening goal. Helped manage the game well in the closing stages. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
10. Scott SInclair 6
Didn't have much of an impact on the game, made a couple of decent runs in the first half. Replaced later on by Gallagher. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
11. Sean Maguire 6
Led the attack, saw an early chance blocked by the keeper but the flag was up. Not much service up to him and Nugent took over from him early in the second half. | pa Photo: PA
12. David Nugent 8
Helped swing the game Preston's way with some intelligent attacking play and runs after coming on as a substitute. Offered more of an outlet than Maguire had done. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
