Here are the PNE player ratings from the game, with Ben Davies taking the starman award.
5. Andrew Hughes 7
Very good in the air, his height proved useful when Stoke played the ball down the channel. Solid from the left-back. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
6. Ben Pearson 8
Robust performance in midfield, did the ugly side of the game well and then played a big part in the second game with a good pass. Booked for an angry reaction to McClean's barge on him. | pa Photo: PA
7. Alan Browne 7
The skipper opened the scoring, showing a poacher's instinct in the six-yard box to find the net. Worked hard throughout in a deeper role. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
8. Tom Barkhuizen 7
Netted PNE's second goal, sweeping a first-time finish home. Started on the right-wing, switched to the left for some of the first half to stop Tommy Smith getting room. | jpimedia Photo: Camerasport
