Though Ryan Lowe’s side had the chances to win the game, they could not find the breakthrough and were left hanging on after Ched Evans’ 80th minute red card.
Here’s how we rated the players on the day...
5. Brad Potts - 5
He couldn't get into the game and couldn't find consistency in the game either. His touch wasn't quite there and though he was dependant in his defensive work, he offered little going forward. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
6. Ben Whiteman - 5
A rare off day for PNE's deepest midfielder. His role is to get on the ball and make PNE tick as well as interrupt attacks before they begin and he did neither really. Surprisingly ineffective in possession and wasn't able to get close enough in defence as much as his usually very high standards. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
7. Daniel Johnson - 5
In a game that is a battle Johnson can either look too good for the scuffle or be unable to impact the match and unfortunately it was the latter on Saturday. Just could not get into the game, which was generally pretty scrappy. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
8. Alan Browne - 5
Another who lost out to the Latics' midfield, Browne was left to try and work extra hard to outdo poor quality on the day. He again looked bright when moving to right wing back, even if he did tend to press all over the pitch in an attempt to step his side up. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
