Here are the player ratings from the opening day at Deepdale...
9. Brad Potts - 6
Started in behind the striker and provided the boundless energy he usually does. Was involved in some good link up but ran himself into alleys at times as well.
10. Scott Sinclair - 6
A quiet afternoon for the former Celtic man, had a few decent showings early on down the left with Hughes but couldn't get himself consistently into the game.
11. Tom Barkhuizen - 6
Couldn't get into the game much as a central striker but looked much more at home out wide, even if at left wing back. Showed his attacking potential in the second half but didn't have long enough out there.
12. Sean Maguire - 6
Came on in a double change after just short of the hour. Played some good passes and looked sharp in his half an hour but couldn't effect the result or get a shot off.
