Here are the player ratings from the opening day at Deepdale...
5. Andrew Hughes - 6
Fairly steady game at left back, linked up well at times with Sinclair early on. Moved into centre back in a back three as PNE pushed and switched up well.
6. Ben Pearson - 7
A typical Ben Pearson performance, didn't do anything spectacular but as usual he was one of the better players on the pitch. Put out fires and generally kept the ball well.
7. Ryan Ledson - 7
A good all round performance from the midfielder, putting in tackles, covering every area of the pitch and looking to dictate play too. A good platform for what could be a big season for him.
8. Billy Bodin - 6
Given the opportunity from the off down the right but not much end product form him on the day. Showed flashes of his quality but not present enough.
