Troy Parrott had the best chance of the game as he went through one on one from a Ben Woodburn pass but was denied by the Tigers’ ‘keeper.
Here’s how we rated the PNE players on the day...
9. Robbie Brady - 6
Looked positive on the ball and willing to go forward but was lacking the consistency against Hull to get North End up the pitch. His crossing was hit and miss on the day too. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
10. Emil Riis - 6
Put himself about but his hold up play let him down and was wasteful with chances. Was not presented with a clear cut chance but also failed to give Hull's 'keeper much to think about. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
11. Troy Parrott - 7
Should have scored when played through on goal by Ben Woodburn but did the hard yards on the day, held it up well and linked things together at times too. Photo: CameraSport - Stephen White
12. Ben Woodburn - 7
Another bright cameo from the Welshman. Has great ball control and quick feet, left a marker for dead before spreading a 40-yard ball on the outside of his foot to play Parrott in behind. Leaves you wanting more. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
