Troy Parrott had the best chance of the game as he went through one on one from a Ben Woodburn pass but was denied by the Tigers’ ‘keeper.
Here’s how we rated the PNE players on the day...
1. Freddie Woodman - 6
Had little to do in the way of testing saves, what he did have to do he did without fuss. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
2. Jordan Storey - 7
Another solid display from Storey as he continues to show that he was a Championship player in League One last season, has not looked out of place on the right side and gave Hull little to go off. Photo: CameraSport -
3. Liam Lindsay - 8
Lindsay is going from strength to strength in the middle of the PNE backline, his role as the destroyer in the three suits him well and he's firm in the tackle as well as tidy on the ball. Picked up a war wound but it did not stop him. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
4. Andrew Hughes - 7
Par for the course for the Welshman, a solid display where he barely put a foot wrong. North End's defence the best part of their game. Photo: CameraSport - Dave Howarth
