Browne's curling effort in the final seconds of the game secured the three points, with Martyn Waghorn having been sent off after 20 minutes.

A quiet afternoon for the PNE 'keeper, the Rams rarely threatened before being reduced to 10 and it got even rarer afterwards.
2. Darnell Fisher - 6
Started the game brightly, got forward well and looked positive. Game was blighted by cheap free kicks and a booking, which meant his early withdrawal.
3. Paul Huntington - 6
Did enough to repel the Derby attacks though that task changed after the sending off. Played briefly on the right of a back three before PNE reverted back to four.
4. Ben Davies - 7
Didn't have too much coming up against him but dealt with everything comfortably and stepped out of defence a few times to try and get things going.
