FA issue 11 word statement after Preston North End man's alleged bite on Liverpool loanee
The PNE striker allegedly bit Blackburn Rovers defender Owen Beck during Sunday’s derby
The English Football Association has confirmed it is aware of an alleged bite by Preston North End striker Milutin Osmajic.

The incident happened in the closing stages of Sunday’s 0-0 draw against Blackburn Rovers - a derby in which both teams finished with 10 men. Sam Greenwood was sent off for Preston just before half time, while Owen Beck saw red for Blackburn, with one minute of normal time to play.
In the aftermath of Beck’s late challenge on PNE midfielder Duane Holmes, footage showed Osmajic approaching the Blackburn man and shoving his head into the player’s neck. Post-match, Rovers boss John Eustace said Beck had a ‘big bite mark’ and labelled it as a ‘very serious’ incident. Now, the FA has responded with a brief statement, which reads: ‘We’re aware of this incident and will be looking into it.’
When asked about it post-match, PNE boss Heckingbottom said: “I’ve not seen it or spoken to John (Eustace) or anyone about that. I’ve just been told there, when I did the Sky interview. Listen, all I can say is that there is no place for that and we know we can’t do that.
“Mistimed tackles, things like that are part and parcel of the game - you accept them. Anything that is not, we know how that’s dealt with. But, I have not seen anything so I am just going off you saying there has been an incident. I’ll wait and see what happens.”
