Preston North End suffered their second consecutive defeat at the weekend as they were beaten 2-0 by Stoke City. It was Alex Neil’s first time back at Deepdale since leaving the Lilywhites in March 2021.

Ryan Lowe’s side have now only won once in their previous eight matches and currently sit 14th in the Championship. However, they no longer have the most draws this season with West Brom claiming eight so far, while Burnley also sit on seven.

Preston face a trip to Yorkshire tomorrow as they take on Huddersfield Town, while the Terriers are struggling for consistency since the sacking of Danny Schofield. Town have two wins in their last five matches.
