LIVE: PNE vs Birmingham City

PNE get the second half underway!

Jordan James has space on the edge of the box and his effort looks to be heading goalward but for a tremendous block by Ben Whiteman.

Mengi is booked for a late tackle on Ched Evans.

North End not really started

PNE have not really got going in this second half, Birmingham are controlling more of the ball and territory but have failed to make a chance of note so far.

Cunningham’s cross from the left is met by Brad Potts coming in from the far side but he doesn’t quite connect fully with the striker and Etheridge can gather.

PNE win the ball high up and Emil Riis beats his man and has Johnson bearing down on goal besides him, he looks to release the Jamaican but hhis pass is short and is intercepted.

At 1-0 and with the away side battlign hard it could prove to be a huge moment in the game.

Brad Potts and Emil Riis are replaced by Tom Barkhuizen and Sean Maguire.

Ben Whiteman is booked for pulling his man back in the middle of midfield.

Maguire makes room for Johnson who supplies the onrushing Cunningham and his low cross along the six yard box is cleared behind.

Whiteman’s cross from the left just evades the head of Maguire and Evans is bundle to the ground at the far post but Etheridge still has to palm the ball away before it finds the corner.
