Big boost for Magpies as trio sign new deals
Chorley’s preparations for next begin as stalwart trio commit their futures
Chorley stalwarts Adam Blakeman, Mike Calveley and Mark Ellis will extend their stays at Chorley into another season.
The trio have been fixtures in the Magpies squad for a number of seasons.
Set-play specialist Blakeman is approaching 400 appearances for the club and has notched 32 goals from his left-back position.
Calveley is the club’s Mr Consistency and has gone past 250 appearances. A central midfielder, he has also filled in at the back during his time with Chorley, as well as scoring 33 goals.
Veteran centre half Ellis will likely pass 150 games for Chorley next season and enjoys a prolific goalscoring record for a defender with around one goal in every six games.
Meanwhile, Taelor O’Kane has been recalled by parent club AFC Fylde after making 24 appearances for the club this season.
