Making a difference
Each completed card will mean a donation is made to the Lancashire Wildlife Trust’s ‘Step up for Wildlife’ campaign. The campaign helps to protect and preserve wildlife and the local habitats they live in.
So you are not only having fun but will be helping nature and the local environment too! Your small effort will help to make a big impact to maintain and improve the natural spaces we enjoy around us.
Where to start
While you can do the Wildlife Walk anywhere, we recommend Salthill or Cross Hill Quarry Local Nature Reserves, which are only five miles from Whalley.
Both places are crammed with natural beauty, with trails which offer a variety of plants and animals for you to discover. You may also be lucky enough to spot a rare bird or flower.
You can also explore your local park or even your garden or backyard. The important thing is just to get outside and start to explore the nature around you.
