25. Lost Pubs
The Old Dog on Church Street dates all the way back to 1715. It is a grade II listed building. One of its claims to fame is that it was there that Wesleyan Methodism was born in Preston. But old history can't keep a pub alive and it was closed down in 2018 with its future unknown | National World

26. Lost Pubs
Here we have Lionels, but it is better known to the folk of Preston as the Guild Tavern. Many will have graced the doors of this town centre pub over the years. But it closed its doors in 2006 and was later turned into student accommodation | National World

This picture of the Old Dog Inn on Church street shows the back entrance and was taken around 1902 | National World
