YOUR WEDDING: Kevin Kelleher and Rebecca Crompton
A long-distance romance sealed the love between Kevin Kelleher and Rebecca Crompton.
Kevin, 33, a director of rooms for a hotel in Vancouver, is originally from Boston in America and met Preston girl Rebecca, also 33, at a polo game in London while Kevin visited the UK.

Rebecca, who works as a marketing manager for an online suit specialist company and lives in Vancouver, said: “It’s always been really important to me to get married where I grew up in Lancashire and it was also really important to me that we showed the American family how wonderful and beautiful Lancashire is.
“I thought it was going to be difficult planning a wedding 4,500 miles away but Bartle Hall took the stress out of everything, they made it all fun and I couldn’t have asked for better.
“On the day itself we had a mixture of English and American traditions which made our day extra special.”

Their wedding cake was also steeped with tradition.
It had the cake topper which had been on the top of Kevin’s nana Mary Boniface’s wedding cake in 1940 and has been in every family wedding since then.
“So many things made the day extra special,” she said. “The food was amazing, the staff faultless, the flowers breathtaking and our talented photographer friendly and fun capturing every special moment – our guests just had the best time.
“A special highlight was our singer Victoria Sharpe, from the moment she sang my favourite song as I walked down the aisle to the moment she sang as I had my portraits done.

“Our flowers were breathtaking, our singer magical and our photographer amazing.

Kevin added: “Our wedding was a day full of memories that we will have forever.”
