Young man, 19, left fighting for his life after serious two-vehicle crash on Tramway Lane in Bamber Bridge
A 19-year-old man was left fighting for his life after a two-vehicle crash in Bamber Bridge.
A Nissan Cabstar and a Vauxhall Vivaro were involved in a collision on Tramway Lane shortly after 1pm on Tuesday.
The driver of the Cabstar, a 19-year-old man, was taken to hospital where police said he remained in a “critical condition” on Wednesday.

The driver of the Vivaro, a man in his 40s, and a teenager both suffered “minor injuries”.
Det Sgt Joseph Ghigi, of Lancashire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision has left a young man very poorly in hospital and my thoughts are with him and his loved ones at this time.
“I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this collision or who has any dashcam or mobile footage, to get in touch.”

The road was closed at the junction with Kellet Lane and Four Oaks Road while emergency services worked at the scene.
Officers warned the closure would be in place “for some time” while they assessed the situation.
