It's not your usual sight when driving through Bamber Bridge.

But for Susan and Chuck, their two white horses and traditional caravan, the green outside Ye Old Hob Inn is just one of their regular stop-off points on their way to the Appleby Horse Fair – and they have even been posing for photos with local residents.

The pair are currently parked up on the greenery outside the pub off Station Road as they travel to next month’s annual fair in Cumbria.

“These guys come every year just for a few days, stopping off to make sure the horses are in good health to go on the road,” said a spokesman from Ye Old Hob Inn.

“They’re really lovely and a part of the community.

"They always come in for a few drinks.”

One onlooker who drove passed the pub told the Post that the carriage and two horses had been there since the Bank Holiday.
