UPDATE: More than 200 set to be without power for nearly six hours

A high voltage fault which has left more than 1000 homes without power, will take until late this afternoon to completely fix, says Electricity Northwest.

The power company tweeted that the fault was affecting homes in the Chorley, PR6, area of Lancashire at 10.25am this morning.

The tweet originally said engineers had been sent out to fix the problem and the company says power has now been restored to 1100 homes.

But, it will take until around 3.30pm for the remaining 230 to have their power back on.
