Two people have been arrested after an attempted burglary at a business premises in Accrington.

Police were called to reports two individuals were trying to break into a property on Abbey Street in the early hours of Thursday, December 18.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a 44-year-old woman and a 43-year-old man on suspicion of attempted burglary.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: “Make sure your business premises are secure - check locks, set alarms, and review CCTV regularly.”

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the area at the time is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number 32 of December 18.
