UPDATE: Commuter airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries following road accident
A driver has been airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries following a multi-vehicle crash this morning.
Two other drivers were taken to hospital in ambulances with minor injuries following the incident which happened at around 7.30am this morning.
Emergency services have closed Shuttleworth Hall Link Road in both directions .
Four vehicles were involved in the crash and several people were trapped in their vehicles.
Police are advising drivers to avoid the area.
