There has also been a three-vehicle crash but this is not linked to the swan.
Shocked motorists are currently doing a double take as a swan strutting down the M6 has shut three lanes.
The M6 northbound is currenly backlogged with traffic due to the swan on the road.
Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: “All traffic is being temporarily held and there is stationary traffic in both directions due to a swan on the M6.
“It is between junction 10 and junction 10A for the M54.”
One motorist has blamed the swan for a three-vehicle crash.
But Inrix has reported that the accident is NOT connected to the swan.
Police have been approached for comment.
