Motorway delays after two crashes
Traffic was help up on both carriageways of the M65 this morning after two separate collisions.
One lane was closed westbound after a smash which left debris on the road between junctions 4 and 3 near Hoghton.
And motorists travelling away from Preston on the eastbound carriageway were also affected by a collision between junctions 2 (M61 connection) and 3.
Long queues formed in both directions during the rush hour. It is not known if there were any serious injuries.
