Motorist misery as Slater Lane closed at the junction with School Lane in Leyland

A temporary road closure has been put in place in Leyland.

Slater Lane has been closed at the junction with School Lane to allow for the utilities to reinstate the road safely.

Public transport operators have been notified.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Highways said they expect the road to reopen on Sunday “at the latest”.

They said: “Thank you for your patience while this important work takes place.”
