A59 closed after three-vehicle collision
A main road was closed in both directions after a collision involving three vehicles on Friday afternoon.
The A59 Liverpool Road at Much Hoole, near Preston was shut between Liverpool Old Road and the Betherton roundabout, close to the San Marco restaurant, for more than an hour and a half as firefighters were called to assist.
A spokesman for Lancashire police said two cars and a van were involved and that initial reports were of minor injuries to occupants of two of the vehicles.
The road was re-opened at around 3.20pm.
