Fire crews from Preston and Bamber Bridge were called to reports of an explosion in Bleasdale Street East at around 10.40am on Tuesday, February 16.

On arrival firefighters discovered one casualty and "some structural damage" to the property.

The road was closed while fire crews made the scene safe and investigated the cause of the blast.
