Stanley House Hotel and Spa in the Ribble Valley, owned by Monte Hotel which is in turn owned by Lancashire’s Euro Garages brothers, Mohsin and Zuber Issa, will temporarily close from September 30 to allow for the enhancement guest facilities throughout the property.
Set within 54 acres of Lancashire countryside, seven miles from Preston and three miles from Blackburn, Stanley House Hotel Spa is a popular venue for leisure breaks, dining, weddings and events. The redevelopment will build on that heritage, say owners, creating an enhanced experience for guests while securing the long-term future of the hotel.

To enable the extensive programme of works to take place, Stanley House’s accommodation, spa, restaurant and bar operations will temporarily close from the end of the month. Guests with accommodation, restaurant or spa bookings affected by the temporary closure are being contacted directly by the hotel.
The on-site events business, operated by The Glass Marquee, Events by MyLahore, will continue throughout the redevelopment period, with weddings, social and corporate events proceeding as planned.
Zuber Issa CBE, Director at Monte Hotels, said: “Stanley House Hotel & Spa is a truly special and memorable local destination with a rich history and a fantastic reputation across Lancashire and beyond. The planned refurbishment and investment reflects our confidence in the future of the hotel and our commitment to ensuring it remains one of the region’s most sought-after hospitality and leisure venues for years to come. We are passionate about investing in high-quality hospitality experiences and creating leisure destinations that people are proud to visit.
“While the redevelopment requires a temporary closure of some hotel operations, the result will be a significantly enhanced Stanley House Hotel & Spa, ready for its next chapter. We recognise the impact that a temporary closure has on our hotel and spa team, and we look forward to supporting colleagues through this period as a priority.
“Given our extensive business interests in Lancashire, wherever possible, we will look to identify suitable alternative role opportunities for affected team members.”
