Road closed in Clitheroe after three vehicle accident

The collision, involving a car and a motorbike, happened on Pendle Road at the junction with the A59 at 1pm.

Three people were injured in the crash although no-one was trapped.

Firefighters from Clitheroe were called to the scene to assist paramedics who treated the casualties.

The A59 remains closed in both directions between the junction of Whalley Road and the Pimlico Link Road. Pendle Road is also closed at the junction of the A59 on both sides from Clitheroe and Sabden and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
