Preston man, 34, arrested under Explosives Act in Ingol named as he appears in court
David Rutherford, 34, who also goes by the name Kaylee Rutherford, has been charged with possession of an explosive substance for unlawful purpose.
A 34-year-old man charged after explosives were found at a property in Preston has made his first court appearance.

David Rutherford, 34, of Tag Croft, Preston, who is also known as Kaylee Rutherford, appeared before magistrates in Preston on Friday, June 5, charged with possession of an explosive substance for unlawful purpose.

On Saturday, May 2, police attended an address on Tag Croft following concerns that there could be potentially explosive material inside an address in Ingol.
Officers were called to the address in Tag Croft where they found a ‘quantity of items of concern’, including shop-bought fireworks.

Lancashire Police said that while the items are not believed to be illegal in themselves, concerns were raised due to the volume and how they were stored together.
No evacuations were necessary and Explosive Ordnance Disposal specialists were not required at the scene.
Officers then arrested Rutherford at the scene on suspicion of offences under the Explosives Act.
After appearing at court last Friday, he has since been remanded in custody until his next court appearance later this month.
