“From high-end to the high street, PETA’s awards show that it’s easier than ever to choose vegan.”
PETA highlights the ethical issues in meat, dairy, and fishing industries, emphasizing that vegan options have a smaller carbon footprint and contribute to lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Additionally, adopting a vegan diet can reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers.
The awards also recognized a range of other products, including La Fauxmagerie’s Brixton Blue (Best Cheese), The Fog on the Tyne’s Magpye Vegan Steak & Ale Pie (Best Pie), and M&S Café’s Very Veggie Toastie (Best Sandwich).
