Police release new images after shop robbery

Detectives investigating a shop robbery have released new CCTV images of the raid as part of a fresh appeal for information.

Around 9pm on August 4, two men entered the Kwik Stop Shop in Linden Drive, Lostock Hall, Preston.

One of the offenders jumped behind the till and removed cash while the second man waited in the doorway.

Both then made off from the scene.

A male staff member working elsewhere in the store was not confronted.

Both suspects are described as white, wearing black hooded tops and black jogging pants.

Detectives are attempting to trace the men and have released new CCTV images of the incident.

Det Con Nigel Marler of Preston CID said: “This was a violent robbery by two offenders armed with weapons and intent on stealing property from the premises.

“The offenders had little or no regard for the staff at the shop or the public in the nearby vicinity.

“These new CCTV images show both suspects in some detail. Someone must recognise these men and if you do, I would urge you to contact police immediately.

“All information will be dealt with in the strictest Linden Drive 5confidence.

“We are particularly keen to talk anyone who was near to the scene at the time of the incident who may have seen the suspects in the vicinity.”
