PNE has gone to Specsavers and set sight on success for penalty shoot outs
Some might say Preston North End should have gone to Specsavers somewhat earlier - luckily they have now after agreeing a sponsorship deal to take them to the top this season.
PNE is setting sight on success after the locally owned and run Specsavers Preston agreed a new sponsorship partnership with the Championship side for the 2026/27 football season.

A key feature of the partnership will see Specsavers Preston become the sponsor of the Preston North End Community and Education Trust Half-Time Penalty Shoot-Out at Deepdale throughout the season.
The popular matchday activity gives young supporters the chance to step onto the pitch at Deepdale and create unforgettable memories in front of the home crowd, as well as helping to showcase the important work the Trust does across the community.
Other elements of the partnership include a pitch-facing advertising board at the stadium, placement in the club’s matchday programmes, and branding on the penalty shoot-out goal nets used in the half-time competition.
The store will also receive a number of matchday tickets and signed footballs as part of the deal, as well as being involved in the club’s events at Deepdale.
James Pope, retail director at the Specsavers Preston store, says: ‘We’re delighted to be partnering with Preston North End and Preston North End Community and Education Trust.
“The Half-Time Penalty Shoot-Out is a fantastic initiative that gives young supporters a memorable experience at Deepdale, while also highlighting the outstanding work being delivered by the Trust across the local community
“We’re looking forward to working closely with the club throughout the season and engaging with supporters on matchdays and beyond.”
Jonathan Breeze, head of strategic partnerships at Preston North End, adds: ‘This partnership is a great fit for both organisations. Specsavers Preston has strong ties to the local community, and we’re delighted to have them on board.‘
Their support of the PNECET Half-Time Penalty Shoot-Out enhances an already popular matchday experience for our younger supporters while helping showcase the important work of the Trust.
“We’re excited about what we can achieve together and look forward to growing the partnership in the months ahead.”
